Day 7 - USA Vs. Malaysia (Women)

Malaysia came out strong from the get go and never really gave a chance to the USA women's team. Malaysia built a big lead and kept it all through the match.

Day - 7 Iran Vs. USA

Iran has improved ten folds from last year and against USA they showed it. This was a great match with score staying close all throughout the match. At the end Iran pulled the first upset of the tournament by defeating team USA and advancing to the semi-finals at the world kabaddi cup 2012.

Day - 7 Argentina Vs. Kenya

This is Argentina's second world Cup while first for Kenya. Though they have not won a match so far, Argentina's team has played hard and does look better than last year. Argentina matched up well against the inexpereinced Kenya's team and were able to beat them to win their first match at the world cup 2012.

Day 8 - England Vs. USA (Women)

Both these women's team met in the semi-finals in 2011 world cup. It was expected that USA would give England a hard time, but at the end England was easily able to take on USA and advance.

Day 8 - Pakistan Vs. Italy

This was a rather disappointing performance from Italy against Pakistan. Italy was expected to be one of the better teams in the tournament. But against Pakistan, neither their raiders, nor their stopper were able to do much. Pakistan easily won this match.

Day 8 - Sierra Leone Vs. Scotland

Both these rookie teams has just started playing Kabaddi. Sierra Leone with this much bigger size was able to dominate Scotland in the first ever win at the World Kabaddi Cup.

Day 9 - England Vs. Malaysia (Women)

Out of the women's competition this was the best match of the day. Though this is Malaysia first ever Kabaddi tournament on international stage, they took care of the English team easily. Even though England had size over the Malaysian women, Malaysia's team was well trained and disciplined.
